Chariot Manufacturing was born out of necessity in 1975 when two motorcycle enthusiasts, Bob Hott and a college friend, were in search of the perfect trailer to tow their bikes to the Smoky Mountains. With no suitable options available, they decided to build their own. From this simple beginning, Chariot grew into a leader in the trailer industry, offering innovative solutions for motorcycles, cars, and specialized applications.
In 1995, Chariot made a major investment, spending over $700,000 to upgrade its production tools and facilities, setting the stage for a new era of growth. Bob continued to lead the company with a focus on precision and customer satisfaction until 2003, when Chariot was sold to American Commerce Solutions. This acquisition allowed the company to expand its horizons without losing sight of its roots.
Under new leadership, Chariot evolved its designs while retaining the proven quality and reliability that had earned it a stellar reputation. Over the years, the company perfected its fiberglass trailers, adapting them to meet the changing needs of customers across various industries. Whether it's a heavy-duty motorcycle trailer, an enclosed car hauler, or a specialized work trailer, Chariot has continued to lead the way in innovative design and manufacturing.
Today, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, Chariot Manufacturing remains dedicated to producing state-of-the-art trailers. With over 40 years of experience, the company has expanded its offerings, providing solutions not just for power sports but also for industries like concessions and specialty transport. Chariot’s focus on controlled, steady growth, a commitment to quality, and putting customers first has made it a cornerstone in the trailer industry.
If you're looking for a trailer built on decades of expertise and innovation, Chariot continues to deliver high-quality, custom solutions for every need.
